Margate Hurricanes win ACBL title

NORTHFIELD - Margate Hurricanes pitcher Lou Pepper got 21 outs Monday night against Northfield.

The last two were the toughest.

Pepper threw out a runner at the plate on a squeeze bunt and then got a strikeout to end the game as Margate captured its third straight Atlantic County Baseball League title, holding off Northfield 4-3 to win the best-of-five series 3-1.
